Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ)

Launched in Glasgow City in February 2014, Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ) is a multi-agency approach to care which aims to improve the outcomes of people affected by cancer. This is achieved through early intervention, holistic needs assessment and care planning. Since its initiation ICJ has been introduced across a number of local authority areas in Scotland with further roll out scheduled as part of the TCC programme. An independent evaluation of Glasgow City’s ICJ project was published by Edinburgh Napier University in September 2020.  Click here to read the report.
