Regional Cancer Advisory Group

The Regional Cancer Advisory Group (RCAG) is the key steering group for the West of Scotland Cancer Network (WoSCAN). It supports and progresses work on a regional basis, agreeing annual work programmes with the regional Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) and specialty groups and services e.g. Nursing and Pharmacy. National MCNs are hosted by WoSCAN on behalf of NHS National Services Scotland and have dual reporting lines via the three RCAGs (North of Scotland RCAG and South East of Scotland RCAG).

The RCAG ensures an equitable approach is taken to the development and provision of cancer services across the West of Scotland.

The RCAG is chaired by the Chief Executive of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and meets four times a year. The RCAG Core Group attend all meetings and the RCAG Flexible Group attend any meetings which are directly relevant to them.
