Head and Neck Cancer

The West of Scotland Managed Clinical Network for Head and Neck Cancer supports approximately 600 head and neck cancer patients per year across the region.  The MCN is a partnership between clinicians, nurses, radiologists, pathologists, allied health professionals, and managers committed to improving the processes, quality of care, and outcomes of care for patients, seeking to ensure that this care is provided on an equitable basis regardless of geography or socio-economic factors.

The partners involved in the MCN work effectively in multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to provide a range of expertise and input into each and every patients’ care and treatment plan.

The Head and Neck Cancer MCN has a Research Sub Group who are committed to research and development in all aspects of head and neck cancer (audit, treatment, survival, quality of life), providing the necessary expertise and experience to support and encourage important research within the West of Scotland.
